本期专题是《计算系统虚拟化——原理和技术》。计算系统虚拟化是当今的技术热点。它可灵活地构建满足多种应用需求的计算环境，为用户提供个性化和普适化的计算资源使用环境。本刊邀请了国家973计划“计算系统虚拟化基础理论与方法研究”项目团队的专家，分“原理和技术”与“评测和应用”两个主题，撰文介绍虚拟化技术的研究进展以及该项目在基础理论、关键技术、评测验证和应用示范等方面取得的一系列研究成果。这些文章将分两期呈现给读者。

专栏刊登了4篇文章。《从百度事件看诚信和互联网价值——CCF YOCSEF特别论坛》是2011年8月25日中国计算机学会青年计算机科技论坛（CCF YOCSEF）举办的“坚守诚信，捍卫互联网价值”特别论坛的呼吁。《一名系统研究者的攀登之路》道出了一名计算机系统领域的研究者，在计算机系统相关的高水平学术会议上发表研究论文的体会。《莱斯利·瓦里安特获2010年ACM图灵奖》介绍了最新图灵奖得住莱斯利的工作，代表了计算机学科的发展方向。《搜索引擎与社交网络的博弈》数据和观点明晰，值得一读。

动态栏目中，《人物专访：CCF海外杰出贡献奖获得者赵伟教授》对2007年CCF海外杰出贡献奖得主赵伟教授进行了专访，介绍了《国际会议介绍：ACM SIGMOD数据管理国际会议》，并刊登了《中国计算机学会推荐国际学术刊物（二）》。

译文刊登了译自IEEE《Spectrum》2010年第12期的文章《新型机器脑》，介绍了MoNETA，在一个芯片上的大脑！

学会动态《CCF通过理事会选举条例修订版》，全文刊登了修订后的《CCF理事会选举条例》。

P8 Dynamic Optimization of Binary Code

Dynamic optimization is a mechanism that canadjust the structure of binary codes at runtime according to profiling the information collected in order to obtain performance speedup. With the development of processor architecture, dynamic
optimization is used to solve some new problems. Prof. Wang et al. from the National University of Defense Technology give the survey on the history and status of this mechanism, and conclude some issues worthy of studying further.

P13 Methodology for Resources Virtualization in Single Computer System
Luo Yingwei, Wang Xiaolin, Xiao Zhen and Li Xiaoming
Prof. Luo et al. from Peking University briefly describe the new technologies involved in their research, including dynamic para-virtualization method, resource virtualization method and dynamic resource management for storage hierarchy, whole-system migration of virtual machines, support for desktop virtualization and virtualizationbased high availability. They also develop a VMM named 973VMM by integrating some technologies developed by different teams in the project.

How to deal with massive data growing at the rate faster than Moore’s law, is a big challenge for critical IT infrastructures. Dr. Liao et al. from Huazhong University of Science & Technology introduce their current works on such issue, including
a programming model Function Flow and a distributed computing framework Clustm based
on that model.

P37 Security in Virtualized System
Weng Chuliang, Liu Qian, Yu Lei and Li Minglu
Virtualized systems have many advantages over the traditional ones. However, virtualization introduces some security issues. Dr. Weng et al. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University give an overview of the security technologies in virtualization environment including access control, security measurement, rollback security, and storage security in virtual machine systems, and introduce their security solutions in these aspects mentioned above.
