Features
P8 Hybrid Visualization for Tree and Network Structures
Michael J. McGuffin and Zhao Shengdong
Prof. McGuffin from the Ecole de Technologie Superieure in Canada and Prof. Zhao from National University of Singapore suggest that one way of innovating in visualization is to combine two previous techniques in a new hybrid form and present two examples of hybrid visualizations: the first for visualizing tree structures, and the second for visualizing network structures, or graphs.
P13 High Dimensional Data Visualization
Yuan Xiaoru, Guo Hanqi, Xiao He, Wang Zuchao and Zhang Xin
Focusing on the major challenges and available technologies in high dimensional data visualization, Prof. Yuan et al. from Peking University cover recent research on parallel coordinates and present a wide spectrum of related applications.
P17 Complex Sequential Data Visualization
Chen Wei, Wang Guizhen and Yan Binghui
Among the methods to facilitate the analysis of sequential data, Prof. Chen et al. from Zhejiang University focus on the unique role of the parameter time in the context of visually driven data analysis. They point out that it is necessary to consider the characteristics of sequentiality when generating visual representations, and present their experiences.
