Minutes:

1. All AC members are very satisfied with the first forum, YOCSEF makes first great success for the forum according to the feedback from the attendees. Great thanks to two hosts Weixin and Minshu.

2. We all agree that two key factors are very important to the success of the forum, one is the topics, aother one is the keynote speakers. So for next forum one keynote speaker should be from a university (Prof. Yang Fuqing is strongly suggested.), the other one should be from an enterprise (Manager of Huawei is suggested).

3. Since Weiqing will be out of Beijing during next forum, the chairman/chairwoman of next forum will be Baisu and Zhiwei.

for each session, only 5' for each panelist.

5. The topic of next academic report , shortly AR, (Sept. 24) is 'New technologies and applications in Networking'. Yuanchun promised to give brief introductions to the speakers and subtopics in the coming week.

6.  The candidate topic of the first forum of 1999 is 'What's the main obstacles to the Chinese IT developing process'. Chairman :Yang Zhenkun and Tang Weiqing.

7.  All AC members at the meeting passed the rules of YOCSEF, for details, Zide will make some changes according to CCF’s rules and show to CCF’s leaders for confirming. Weiqing will have a summary to the first forum.

8.  Yuanchun will redesign YOCSEF’s logo after the meeting.
