报告题目:Towards Optimized and Efficient Object Selection and Manipulation in Virtual Reality

报告摘要Current virtual reality (VR) systems enable the user to view and interact with virtual content, much of it in the form of virtual objects. Object selection and manipulation are two important, fundamental tasks in VR environments. In contrast to more traditional platforms, interaction in VR is not as precise and efficient and requires a higher workload. In this talk, I will discuss some recent work in the design of techniques for efficient selection and manipulation of virtual objects in VR. I will first talk about leveraging user behavior information to develop optimized object selection techniques. Then, I will discuss how we can use implicit information such as eye gaze data that is always available to complement and enhance object manipulation when performed using hands. I will end by presenting some of our recent work in the exploration of interactions for efficient manipulation of groups of objects in VR.

嘉宾简介:

梁海宁

Hai-Ning Liang is a Professor with the Department of Computing at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), Suzhou, China. He is the Founding Head of the Department of Computing. He is also the Founding Deputy Director of the Suzhou Key Lab for Virtual Reality Technologies, Suzhou Key Laboratory of Intelligent Virtual Engineering, and the XJTLU Virtual Engineering Center. He completed his PhD in computer science from Western University, Canada. He had also worked at the University of Queensland in Australia and the University of Manitoba in Canada. His main research interests fall within human-computer interaction, focusing on virtual/augmented reality and gaming technologies. He has published widely in top-rated journals and conferences in these areas, such as ACM ToG, ToCHI, IMWUT, UIST, CHI, and IEEE TVCG, VR, ISMAR. He is actively involved in the organization of conferences and editing special issues.


报告题目:感知融合的智能穿戴交互技术

报告摘要:可穿戴设备是智能交互时代的一个重要趋势。一方面,以智能手表、腕带为代表的可穿戴设备在健康、运动、医疗等领域得到了广泛的应用 。另一方面,柔性电子技术触发了新形态电子设备的产生,促进了可穿戴设备的发展。从手表、腕带到智能服装,再到电子皮肤,可穿戴设备不仅改变着形态和功能,更是改变了人们对信息的获取以及对自身、周围环境的感知方式。从个人智能到环境智能的改变带来了交互上的挑战,如交互效率低和交互不自然等问题,同时也带来了交互上的机会,必须探索智能穿戴的新形态,交互原则,及关键交互技术。这次报告我将通过触屏及空中手势设计、触觉反馈设计、柔性界面设计等方面探讨下一代智能穿戴的交互空间、交互范式及交互形态。

嘉宾简介:

韩腾

韩腾,中科院软件所副研究员 ,中科院人才计划。博士毕业于加拿大曼尼托巴大学人机交互实验室。曾在微软亚研、联想研究院、日本本田研究院、加拿大Autodesk研究院进行实习,并在美国达特茅斯学院和台湾国立大学进行过学术访问和研究。主要研究兴趣是新型交互手段的探索,可穿戴交互技术和柔性交互界面的设计。在人机交互国际顶级会议(ACM CHI, ACM UIST, IMWUT/Ubicomp)发表论文十余篇,获CHI2020UIST2020最佳论文提名奖。目前主持国家自然科学基金面上项目和多项企业合作项目。


报告题目:Understand, Predict and Enhance User Behaviors in Mixed Reality

报告摘要:Different from personal computers that serve as the gate to the digital world, or ubiquitous devices that embed the power of computing into the physical world, MR interfaces mix the real and virtual objects and blend the physical and the digital world. To approach the optimal interaction paradigm for Mixed Reality, my research is focused on understanding, predicting and enhancing user behavior in Mixed Reality (MR) interaction, which follows three connected threads: 1) study and model the user’s behavioral and perceptual patterns, 2) develop instinctive input techniques and adaptive user interfaces, 3) explore enhancement mechanisms that optimizes user behaviors and perceptions.

嘉宾简介:

阎裕康

阎裕康,本科与博士毕业于清华大学计算机科学与技术系,导师史元春教授,现于卡内基梅隆大学做博士后研究,导师David Lindlbauer,将于明年加入香港科学大学广州校区,任计算媒体与艺术学域助理教授。曾获中国电子学会优秀博士学位论文,清华大学优秀博士学位论文,博士研究生国家奖学金,清华大学挑战杯特等奖,ACM CHI最佳论文提名奖。研究方向是人机交互与混合现实,在人机交互领域顶级会议及期刊(ACM CHI, UIST, IMWUT18篇,其中第一作者或通讯作者11篇,担任中国计算机学会人机交互专委执行委员,CHI 22CHI 23, UIST 21, UIST 22 Associate Chair个人主页:http://yukangyan.info/
